Emily began dancing at the age of 10 in Northern California and trained at a pre-professional level during her high school years. Emily has a degree from Point Loma Nazarene University, and during her time in San Diego danced and performed with many groups, including Butterworth Dance Company, Mesa College Dance Company, and The PGK Dance Project. She danced on an international tour to the Maldives and Thailand and performed site-specific choreography with San Diego Dance Theater in the annual “Trolley Dances.”

Since moving to Idaho, Emily has become an International Dance Teaching Standards certified instructor and is also trained in Acrobatic Arts, MuvMethod, and Progressing Contemporary Technique. She teaches and choreographs jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro, and musical theater. Emily’s choreography has won many awards and has been seen locally at competitions, the Idaho Screendance Film Festival, and Summer DanceFest.

Outside of dance, Emily loves spending time with her husband, Matthew, and their two daughters, Rae and Mia. She is excited to bring her love of dance to EDP and be part of the beautiful Treasure Valley dance community!
