Acting for Dancers Workships

Acting for dancers is an exploration on how the human condition translates to highly stylized and abstract movement, without neglecting the circumstances necessary to lay the foundation of logic that is accessible to other human beings in order to endow or inspire them with a particular message. The “artistic process” is really what this work is all about! It has a lot to do with both discovering how to become a character, how to embody music and how to uncover and explore our own capacity for empathy, compassion, artistic expression and interpretation in a safe and supportive environment. In class students will learn how to perform and portray honest emotions on stage or for the camera. The students will be introduced to several movement and acting styles pioneered from master teachers and magic makers throughout history. All offering them wonderful tools to deepen their artistry as dancers, actors but most importantly to deepen their experience as amazing creative human beings!

Attire: comfortable clothes.
